Just make sure it’s unlocked and hold it to the terminal — you don't even need to open the app.

Set up is easy:

  1.  Open Google Play™ store on your device and search for Google Pay.
  2. Tap install, then tap accept.
  3. Tap the plus sign [+] from the main screen to add your debit card. Use the camera on your device to capture your card number. Then, enter the expiration date and security code found on the back of your card.
  4. You will be prompted to call your bank to verify your card. Once your card is verified, you can start using Google Pay.
