Kendra Fitz

Employee Spotlight

Kendra Fitz

Kendra Fitz knew she wanted to work in finance someday. When looking for “just a summer job” in 2018, she applied for a commercial banking  internship at Fulton Bank.

As an intern, she worked with a Fulton relationship manager to visit clients and prospects reviewing tax returns, loan portfolios, financial statements and more. Upon graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2019 with a degree in finance and minor in marketing, she joined the Management Trainee program.

During her first rotation in the marketing department, Kendra had the unique opportunity to support Fulton’s transition to its new website by helping develop the small business section. She completed additional rotations with the United Way of Berks County, commercial credit, cash management/treasury and consumer products.

In May 2020, she was hired as a full-time Associate Financial Planning Analyst before being promoted to a Financial Planning Analyst in September 2022 – a position she loves.

The Management Trainee program enabled Kendra to discover what she loved about working in banking and what she didn’t.

“The most rewarding part of my job is that I’ve been given an opportunity to actually use my degree and lean on my knowledge to build a career,” said Kendra. “At Fulton, I am truly learning something new every day from my colleagues and incredible mentors.”

Raised by two music teacher parents, Kendra is also a classically trained violinist and avid reader of fiction. She is currently taking professional development courses to continue her learning and increase her skillset and experience to further her career in financial planning and analysis.
