Overdraft Services1

An overdraft is when your account doesn't have enough funds to cover transactions such as checks, debit card purchases, and electronic funds transfers. Occasional overdrafts can happen. But we can help. We have a variety of solutions to help you manage your accounts.

Overdraft Protection

Overdraft Protection allows you to link your Fulton Bank checking account to another eligible Fulton account such as a savings, another checking, money market account, or line of credit. If you request this option, we will transfer funds available in these accounts to help cover overdrafts. There’s a $12 Sweep Transfer Fee per day when the bank transfers money from your connected accounts to pay overdrafts.

Avoid declined transactions

Enrollment in an Overdraft Protection plan is not automatic. Connect with your local branch team to talk about your overdraft options.

OVERDRAFT ELECT™ Provides you options

Overdraft Elect is a service that allows you to determine whether you want us to authorize and pay overdrafts at our discretion. This service applies whether or not you have linked an eligible Fulton Bank account to cover overdrafts. You are automatically enrolled in Overdraft Elect Partial Coverage Election. If you choose, you can also select to opt out of Overdraft Elect entirely or opt-in to our All-In Election plan. There is a $32 Overdraft Fee per paid item. You can decide what type of Overdraft Election works best for you by using one of our forms below, calling or visiting a branch.
