The Fulton Bank Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Program supports low-to-moderate income communities (“LMI Communities”) and majority minority (“MM Communities”) which we serve. This program aligns with our organizational purpose to Change Lives for the Better by providing tuition support to those in need looking to continue their collegiate education and gain employment experience at Fulton Bank.
Each scholarship winner will receive a one-time payment of $2,500.00 distributed via check and sent to their attending college/university. In addition to the scholarship, winners will be presented with the opportunity to apply for summer employment through Fulton Bank, working with the Consumer Banking team.
Program Overview
- Applicants must be Seniors in high school planning to attend a 2 to 4-year undergraduate degree program majoring in Business Administration, Communications, Information Technology, Marketing, or another Business-related program.
- Applicants must reside and/or attend a high school that falls within a low-to-moderate income or majority-minority community within Fulton Bank’s 5 state footprint (DE, MD, NJ, PA, VA).
- Applicants are required to submit one (1) recommendation from a person other than a family member. Recommendations may be in the form of a written letter or the Fulton Bank Recommendation Form.
- Applicants are also required to submit a written essay answering the following question: “How will you use this opportunity to further your professional development and career goals?”
- Once a completed application is submitted through the Fulton Bank website, a Fulton Bank representative will be in contact with the applicant to discuss next steps in the evaluation process.
- The evaluation process is based on academic performance, extracurricular/community involvement, leadership ability, academic attendance/punctuality, interview performance, and desire for employment at Fulton Bank.
Scholarship winners must have six (6) or more months of customer service experience and meet employment eligibility requirements, in order to apply for the employment opportunity.
This would include experience obtained through prior employment, community involvement/volunteer/fundraising opportunities, and leadership experience. Examples would include but are not limited to customer contact and/or interaction in a retail, restaurant, and/or call center environment.
- Candidates will be selected by a committee of Fulton Bank Representatives based on the overall strength of the application and formal interview, as well as the applicant’s availability and desire for employment with Fulton Bank- as stated above. Finalists will be interviewed by employees of Fulton Bank.
- A Fulton Bank employee will present the award to each winner selected.
- The Scholarship, in the one-time amount of $2,500.00, will be paid and distributed directly to the attending college/university to be applied towards tuition.

3. Upload a letter of recommendation. Recommendations may be in the form of a written letter or the Fulton Bank Recommendation Form.
4. Fill out a Personal Information Form and upload the completed form.
5. Upload your resume. Optional, but encouraged.
